How do you measure the impact of coaches in Counter-Strike? That’s one of the toughest questions to answer, as we have little to no information to rely on. Looking only at four 30-second pauses to assist players during an official game shouldn’t be enough. 

Nowadays, many professional teams consider coaches to be one of the most important pieces when building a roster. They are responsible for scouting players, choosing the IGL, who usually needs to have a very close relationship with the coach, and helping the project succeed both in and out of the server. Coaches often share management roles, such as helping decide the calendar and tournaments/qualifiers to participate in, building strategies together with psychologists and performance coaches, and, of course, helping players on a daily basis to become the best versions of themselves.
