After the triumph at IEM Cologne 2023, G2’s CS:GO sniper, Ilya m0NESY Osipov, commented on the amount his former team, Natus Vincere, paid for his contract.

“The amount was a bit more [$600,000]. I won’t give the exact price, but I think no one will be upset if I say it was a bit more. [Question: $100,000 more?] I don’t know by how much. But let’s stick to the fact that the transfer cost $600,000, because otherwise, people will stop typing ‘-600k’ and ‘+600k’ in the chat when I miss a shot or make a precise shot.

In any case, it’s an incredible sum! I think another young player in my position would feel pressure and think they have to perform better since so much was paid for them. But that wasn’t the case for me.”

m0NESY, as a part of G2, became the champion of major tournaments. Among them are: IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.
