CS:GO is gone: the release of Counter-Strike 2
On the night of September 28, Valve released Counter-Strike 2, which replaced CS:GO. Players had the client renamed to CS2.
Within the first hours of release, more than 1.1 million people played the new version of the game. Daily online reach amounted to 1.265 million. So far CS2 has not managed to break the CS:GO record with 1.8 million players in the game at the same time.
Despite the release of CS2, the BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2023 tournament will be held on CS:GO. At the same time, the next BLAST tournament, which will be held from November 22 to 26, will be held on the new version of the game.
In CS2 we can expect redesigned maps, interface, grenade interactions and much more.
